This is it guys! Your final post is finally due and we have finished reading A Doll's House. I absolutely love this play because of the drama, drama, drama. But I know that we all have different opinions and that there were some mixed feelings about the play, especially about the way that it ended. Therefore, here is your opportunity to write your own ending to the play.
The assignment is the following:
You are to either add on to Act III, meaning you would write what happens after Nora leaves Torvald and the children OR you can pick up from any point in the play (in Act III) and rewrite the ending.
If you are picking up from a specific part in Act III, make sure you state where you are picking up from. For example, you would state, "After Dr. Rank leaves Nora and Torvald..." Also, you can include any narration, such as, "(As Nora walks to the door, Torvald grabs her arm)."
Finally, don't forget to include vocab words from Act III.
You have all done a fantastic job with blogging and expressing your opinions. Do not forget your username and password to Blogger and Gmail since next year you may use it again.
Don't be shy to blogging and consider having your own personal blog for expressing yourself. Then, send me the link so I can add it to my personal blog list. If you scroll to the bottom of my blog you will see my personal list.
8 teaching days left and 16 days left of school!!!

When Nora and Torvalt are discussing their separation.
Nora: That’s it Torvalt, after all these years my patience has finally ended.
Nora: I turned myself into a puppet when I met you. I believed only what you wanted me to believe.
Nora: you think of me as an inferior creature because I am a female. Well I will show you that I have a mind of my own by leaving you.
Torvalt: You dare to destroy our marriage after so many years. What about your children. You as a mother should think about her children before herself.
Torvalt: (with anger) You think that you can walk away from your responsibilities. Don’t do this Nora I can change, I can change for our family. How was I suppose to know that something was wrong when you played along and obeyed like my own personal puppet.
Torvalt: This is what marriages are for. We can talk about our situation, we can work something out, please reconsider your decision.
Torvalt: You say that I don’t treat you like an individual because you are a female, but yet you put your feeling in front of logic.
Nora: It is you who has transformed my personality into a capricious behavior. I don’t care anymore for our family because it was never a family. I am leaving my family and that is all, there is nothing that can change my decision.
Narrator: Torvalt calmly walks to the door and stands there with a crazed look on his face.
Torvalt: (calmly) If you want to leave then you shall have to pass through me.
Narrator: Nora desperately tries to get Torvalt out of the way but fails. Torvalt responds by pushing nora with great force making her fall on the floor.
Nora;(crying) You demon, how can you deny someone their happiness. If this is how you want to play then may god receive me with his or hers arms wide open.
Narrator: Torvalt silently follows Nora with his eyes and sees that she is going upstairs. Nora walks at a steady pace with no expression on her face.
Torvalt: ( to himself ) finally the fight is over and I have a family again. But was she telling the truth. Have I treated her like an animal? Perhaps it is time for ch……………………..
Narrator: Torvalt is interrupted by a loud noise outside as if something fell to the ground. Torvalt frantically opens the front door and lets out an agonizing scream.
Torvalt : ( crying ) Nora my dear, Nora why?
